Safety Tips for Diwali

A little precaution could add more sparkle to your Diwali this year. We at GroupL have compiled a list of simple do’s and don’ts which will help you celebrate a safe Diwali!

Clothing
-          Wear thick, cotton clothes while bursting fire crackers. Avoid synthetic material and loose clothes as they can catch fire more easily. Be mindful of long, dangly duptta’s. When bursting fire crackers, wear closed footwear.

Candles / Diya’s
-          Keep candles / diya’s out of reach of children and pets.
-          Keep candles / diya’s out of draughts and away from curtains, other fabrics or furniture, which could catch fire.
-          Place your candles / diya’s strategically on heat resistance surfaces and blow them out before you sleep at night.

Fire – Crackers
-          Only buy fire crackers from licensed shops.
-          Store fire crackers out of reach of toddlers and away from any source of fire or ignition.
-          Burst fire crackers in open space, not in your house.
-          Keep sand, bucket of water and blankets handy incase a fire breaks out.
-          While lighting fire – crackers, keep arm’s length distance. Hold sparklers away from body. Do not bend over fire – cracker when lighting.
-          Discard used fire – works in a bucket of water.
-          Children must always be supervised when bursting fire crackers.
-          Do not burst fire – crackers while holding the cracker in your hand.
-          Do not keep fire – works in your pocket.

Open House for all Employees at Vesuvius

On 24th August, 2016 we organized an open house at our client, Vesuvius’s factory in Kolkata. The objective of this event was to ensure all staff have a thorough understanding of Provident Fund, ESIC and HR policies. They had the opportunity to clarify any doubts and we ensured that all documentation was collected and updated relating to staff legal compliance.

The event was attended and appreciated by our client Mr. Anirban Roy and Mr. Nasim Ali.

Corporate Social Responsibility

As part of our CSR activity for the previous quarter, we had our facilities team provide cleaning service to the Ballugunge Municipality School, Kolkata on 27th August, 2016. A team of 10 boys swept the school clean!
