Delhi government asks pvt. security agencies to furnish info online

The Delhi government has made it mandatory for private security agencies to furnish online certain informations like deployment of security personnel at various establishments. The move was taken to enable the Home Department to maintain data with regard to activities of the security agencies, number of personnel employed at various setups and the number of security men with licensed firearms. The private security agencies can upload the information on the government portal -- http://home.Delhi.Gov.In. The government said appropriate actions like suspension or cancellation of licenses will be taken against the agencies if they failed to submit the data within the stipulated time.

TCS announces Rs. 100 crores for PM’s ‘Clean India’ initiative

Days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the NDA government’s ‘Clean India’ initiative, software major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Monday announced that it - will earmark Rs 100 crore to be spent on school sanitation. TCS, the country’s largest software services exporter, would finance hygienic sanitation facilities for girl students across 10,000 schools in the country, the company said in a statement.

Modi says India, Germany ‘made for each other’, Berlin to help clean rivers

India and Germany on Monday agreed to prepare a road map for cooperation in skill development, solid waste management and cleaning of rivers as visiting foreign minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier met Prime Minister Narendra Modi who described the two nations as "made for each other".
